Butterscotch Cake Recipe

Ingredients
Cake flour (2c), milk (1c), eggs (2), baking powder (3tsp), butter or margarine (1/2c), vanilla extract (1tsp), brown sugar (1 1/2c) and salt (1/2tsp).
For butter Frosting: Cream (2tbsp), powdered sugar (2c), hot water (1tbsp), vanilla extract (1/2tsp), butter or margarine (1/4c).

Method of preparation:-
blog-butterscotch-cakeTake a bowl, add cake flour, baking powder and salt in it and then mix it well. Add butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract in to the mixture. Beat this mixture for about 2 minutes at an average speed. Now add remaining milk and egg yolks to the mixture. Again beat it for about 2 minutes. Take a pan cake, grease it and then pour the mixture into it. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F for about 5 minutes. Place the cake pan in the oven and bake it for about 25 to 30 minutes. Heat the butter in a pan over low heat to prepare the butter frosting. When the butter starts turning brown then add the other ingredients of frosting in it. Keep on stirring the mixture until it gets smooth. Now take off the pan from heat and keep it to cool. Now take out the pan cake from the oven and keep it to cool and then frost the cake with butter frosting. Now the butterscotch cake is ready.
