Meat Kofta Curry Recipe
Ingredients
Chopped meat (1kg), chopped onion (1), chana flour (3tbsp), ginger (2” piece), green chillies (2-3), crushed black cardamom seeds (1tbsp), red chilli powder (1tsp), egg (1), oil (for frying) and salt (to taste).
For gravy:-Chopped onion (3), coriander powder (2tsp), oil or ghee (2tsp), garam masala (1/2tsp), red chilli powder (2tsp), turmeric (1tsp), tomato puree (3), garlic (8flakes), ginger (2pieces).
Method of preparation:-
Take a blender, put all the kofta ingredients in it except egg and then blend them to make a smooth paste. Add egg to this paste and mix them well. Make the kofta like balls of this mixture and then deep fry them until get golden brown. Now drain them and keep them aside. Blend onions, garlic, ginger to make smooth paste and keep them aside. Take a heavy bottomed pan, add the above paste and fry it until it turns brown. Now add tomato puree, turmeric, coriander powder, red chillies and salt and then fry them until the oil gets separated. Add 3 glasses of water when the gravy starts boiling then reduce the heat to medium. Add koftas one by one into the gravy and keep it to simmer with half covered lid for about 20 minutes. Now the koftas curry gets ready garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice or chapatti.
