Methi Mutton Recipe
Ingredients
Mutton chops (1/2kg), well beaten yogurt (1c), finely chopped fresh methi (1/2c), cubed potatoes (2), finely chopped coriander leaves (3/4c), cubed tomato (1), kashmiri chillies (4), pepper corns (8), cloves (3), green chillies (3-4), sprigs mint leaves (2), poppy seeds (1tsp), ginger garlic paste (1tsp), crushed dried methi leaves (1tsp), ghee (for frying)cumin seeds (1tsp)cinnamon stick (2.5cm) and salt (to taste).
Method of preparation:-
Take a pan, roast cardamom, cinnamon stick, coriander seeds, cloves, cumin seeds, poppy seeds, red chillies in it. Blend them in a blender to make fine powder. Fry onions and green chillies with a little ghee and then blend them with a half cup of mint leaves, coriander leaves and powdered spices to make a fine paste. Heat ghee in a pan add the mutton pieces and then fry them for a minute. Add half cup of water and then add yogurt and mix them well. Add potato and tomato pieces and then cover the pan with a lid. Cook it until the mutton gets cooked. Now uncover the pan and add dry fenugreek leaves. Reduce the heat to low and keep it to simmer for few minutes. Garnish it with remaining coriander leaves and serve it hot.
