Mutton Pullao Recipe

Ingredients

For Rice:-
1. Uncooked rice (250 gms or 1 1/4c)
2. turmeric powder (1tsp)
3. oil (1tbsp)
4. chili powder (1tsp)
5. lukewarm water (2c)
6. salt (to taste)

For Mutton:-
1. Mutton pieces (1lb)
2. finely chopped onions (2)
3. ginger paste (1tsp)
4. garlic paste (1tsp)
5. finely chopped tomato (1large)
6. turmeric powder (1tsp)
7. chili powder (1tsp)
8. coriander leaves (for garnish)
9. oil (2tbsp)
10. salt (to taste)
11. lukewarm water (1/2c)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take a pressure cooker, heat the oil in it and fry chopped onions and add tomatoes, ginger and garlic and then fry them for about 5 minutes.

2. Now add mutton pieces, turmeric and chili powder, salt with half cup of lukewarm water, cover the cooker tightly and cook on high heat for about 10 minutes.

3. Remove the lid or cover of the cooker after half an hour and then mix the rice, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt with 2 cups of lukewarm water.

4. Cover the cooker tightly with lid and again cook on high heat for about 15 minutes. When the mutton pullao gets ready then garnish it with coriander leaves.
