Chapati (Phulka) Recipe

Ingredients
Whole wheat flour (1c), water (1/2c).

Method of preparation:-
chapati-phulkaTake a large bowl, put 1 cup of flour with half cup of water in it. Blend them together until it gets hold. Beat and knead the flour well until it makes a compact ball. Knead the dough until it gets smooth and elastic. Keep it aside for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes knead and then divide the dough into 4 to 6 parts or small balls. Roll each ball into flat round about 1/8” thick. Heat the tawa and put the phulka on it and keep it to cook for about 1 minute. When the small bubbles starts to appear then turn its side and then cook the other side until the small bubbles appear. Then again cook the first side and press it lightly with a clean towel or napkin. It should be puffed. Apply the butter on it and serve it hot with vegetable.
